So we’ve decided to tell you a little bit about us. It’s a quick read and we promise not to take up too much of your time. Firstly we want to let you know that we are real people. A real mum and dad with a passion for keeping kids active and eating nutritious meals. We are not robots, we eat, sleep and have weekends off to spend with our family.
Here we are!
About Kids On Abington
We choose products that we as parents would use for our own children. Sometimes though, getting kids to eat anything can be a massive challenge, let alone it being nutritious. So we have a strong focus of making meal times fun for kids. They say we eat with our eyes. The more appeasing something looks the better the chances of it being eaten or at least a taste test occurring. Having said that, the struggle is real for some parents who’s kids may fall on the spectrum (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or for those too that have Sensory Processing Disorder, allergies and other physical and psychological issues creating challenges at meal times. Being myself one of the most pickiest eaters of all time as a child, I hope to personally help parents along in their journey. We have created a friendly closed support group for our customers on Facebook that has recipes we share and pictures of Bento lunch boxes in use, tips and ideas. If you would like to join, please contact us and we will add you to the group.
And for those with inquisitive minds…How did we come up with our name? We came up with a lot of names before settling on Kids On Abington but non of them felt like they fitted. Then one day out of the blue it occurred to me, it was one of those 'light bulb' moment...Abington was the name of the street we had lived on for years when we were first married and I had always loved the name. With the business being focused on kids, it only seemed fitting to put it together. Hello 'Kids On Abington'!
